Artists’ Bio
Frankie Palmer is a visual artist from Minneapolis, Minnesota, currently based in Vancouver. They attended Emily Carr University and have a BFA in Visual Arts. Their work explores themes of found home and feelings of place concerning landmarks and locations through printmaking. Currently, their practice is informed in part by living in Vancouver, as it is not what most would call a livable city, and by the process of finding pockets of familiarity and comfort despite the nature of this city. Their current work is made from gathering bits and pieces and putting them together, whether physical, as in collage, or idea-based, gathering input from the people and places around them and turning them into prints.
